Annie Dougherty Welch at her 100th birthday party in December, 1985. The party was held at the Senior Citizens Hall in Elk Grove, California. At this time Annie was living with her daughter, Edna Ethel Welch Mullins, in Wilton, California. Unfortunately, Annie passed away soon after that, at the home of her son in Bakersfield.

China Hall, the dwelling built in the 1700s by descendants of Vincent Garner. The house sits in a small Virginia town, Lewisetta. In the 1650s, when John Garner first settled in this area of the Northern Neck, the place was called Cherry Point.

Erin played on all three Varsity teams: Flag Football -- there were no uniforms for tackle football -- basketball and baseball.
Erin runs the bases after a successful hit. Erin played third base and passed his "throwing arm" on to his son, Lucas Azariah Garner, who wows the play-school group at age 2 with his ability to throw far and accurately.

Land records are often written on large journal-sized sheets in the old court houses. Sometimes I have found transcriptions of these in other sources (listed in Sources) and I have used those because the scanning of a book is more efficient than the scanning of oversized pages.
